Re: Bittner-Four

Obviously the builder's name is Bittner and it looks like this is a custom design. Is this the one which was for sale in Edmonton made out of Super Cub parts and a widened fuselage to make it a 4 seater?

Re: Bittner-Four

I saw this plane on Kijiji as well and could not figure out what it was, then did a reg search and concluded that Bittner was the builder. Seemed like a good deal though from the specs that were given.

Hi Noodles

I also tried to research it ... I can’t anything on Mr Bittner. However the performance is exceptional I’m looking forward to some BC flying. I’ll post photo’s when I start exploring.

You can go onto the Transport Canada aircraft register with your registration marks and when your aircraft data comes up there is a tab for the aircraft history. You can find Mr. Bittners address there. You are able to google his phone number, it shows on (411.ca) and maybe call him to get more details about the plane, as he is probably the designer as well.

Btw, I don't know why you think my first post was unfriendly, if you feel that way it was for sure not my intention.

Re: Bittner-Four

That's going to a great flight to the east coast. I've gone as far as Steinbach Manitoba and back a few times in a C150 and a Citabria. Adding twice the distance, or most likely closer to triple would be fun! Beautiful flying this time of the year too.

Re: Bittner-Four

Yes well I'm hoping the WX cooperates.

Ill just take my time low and slow along the way, that's what I bought it for.
If anyone can suggest a route and more importantly im looking for small grassroots airports along the way. Where i might be able to spend the night and get fuel.
Never did any flying west of Ontario in little planes.

Thanks,

Bob

Re: Bittner-Four

I really only know as far as Steinbach. No sure what you range is either. I always enjoy stopping at North battleford. Pay at the pumps and you can get a taxi to a hotel easy enough. Yorkton is a nice stop as well. Fuel from the flight school and right close to town for a hotel as well. Not sure if Steinbach north airport has fuel or not, but Steinbach south does. Harvs air owns it and does flight training out of it. A call ahead and I'm sure they will be more then happy to fuel you up. They can also arrange a ride to and from the hotel if needed. As I said, I have no knowledge beyond that, and I'm guessing you may want to stay further north. I've never even read any sectionals beyond Manitoba, almost embarrassed to admit that...

Hey David

Ok thanks for the help, I’ll figure it out and maybe post my planned route here. That way maybe someone can add a comment or hint for me.

Re: Bittner-Four

Well got the airplane home to Nova Scotia, no issues on the way.
Only had 1 morning where the Wx delayed us. In total 23.1 hrs not bad now I can’t wait to mount the 31 ABW and go play :)
