I saw the beer garden. Waterboy and 1:1 scale are here. Kenny Chapman is suppose to be here tonight. Spaghetti dinner starts at six and I'm ready.

This is getting crazy it's been nonstop airplanes landing since I got here I'm not sure they're going to have enough parking for all of them. So much for the down-home laid-back small little flying. On the good side though there's many many tailwheel planes.

The 1912 Curtis pusher with the factory style V-8 engine just had to do a dead stick landing from about 800 feet AGL. Bent the landing gear but it was a beautiful dead stick landing.ImageImage

Great to see you again, Rob! We had a great time! Your launch was fun to watch-pretty much the opposite of ours last night, lol. Here's some pics I took.

Spent the weekend at the flyin. Super impressed with the museum and staff. Amazed is more like it. Huge collection of beautiful aircraft and autos attended by passionate volunteers.
FYI WAAAM has a loaner car and will have overnight pilot accommodations soon.
If I have the story right, there was a restored Stinson flown in to the flyin, who's owner was so impressed they donated the aircraft and left by car. I think that's a good summary of how the place struck me as well. I just can't afford to give the old and ugly Skywagon away.
