Tentative right now, but the family and I have penciled this in. Hope it works out. Would be great to meet some people.

Re: Graham Field / Ohio Bush Planes Fly In

This weekend we are going to try and put together some fly-out destinations for the Ohio Bush Planes fly-in. Here are a couple of the more interesting stops, but the strips are not your every day strip.

1. http://vimeo.com/7741168
2. http://vimeo.com/8007183

If you are planning on coming to the fly-in, are you interested in this kind of place, or just the typical grass runways?

I'm thinking about it, but not some of those places you & Greg land! I get all puckered up just watching the videos.

Re: Graham Field / Ohio Bush Planes Fly In

we have easy places too. Lots of them, and empty back seats for the others.

Re: Graham Field / Ohio Bush Planes Fly In

Sunday we had a "scouting" party narrowing down some of our up coming fly-out destinations.

We had an interesting day with several airplanes landing at various Ohio Bush Plane strips.

Since I was the “local” I was mostly in the lead. Toward the end of the day, I keyed the mike and said “I am dropping down to show you something, but you guys can stay up here and watch.”

Just as I was nearing this cool spot, over the radio on the “fingers” channel, comes Top Guns “Danger Zone” song. Before we got back to Graham Field, there were two or three other equally appropriate songs at other sites.

Now everyone in our group denied doing it, but earlier in the day, there was harmonica music….

Zane, are you still coming? We hope so. We will pick you up at Port Columbus.

I am, John. Trying to find a better airline schedule. Its looking like I might have to take the redeye and show up in the early am friday. Columbus seems inconvenient to get to from Portland for some reason.

Re: Graham Field / Ohio Bush Planes Fly In

Zane, I'm going. If it's easier to find a flight to Detroit, fly in there, I'll pick you up, guest room is available. Whether I fly or drive to Graham Field depends on the weather, but I'm going either way, and you're welcome to join me.
