This is a personal invite to all the Backcountry Pilots to attend the 4th Annual OK18 Taildragger Fly-in, May 28-31 at Grande Isle Airport (OK18), Adair Oklahoma.

Rough schedule:
May 27 – early arrivals, fly outs to eat lunch, boat shuttle to Lakeside Inn for dinner/music/drink
May 28 - arrivals, set up tents, fly outs for lunch, evening catered BBQ, bring your fishing pole
May 29 - breakfast, briefing for poker run, poker run, lunch at Grand Lake Regional airport during poker run, loaf around OK18 in the afternoon after returning from Poker Run, Carbon Cub & King Katmai demos/rides, locals show up/airplane rides, fly-bys, skydivers, drawings for CubCrafters & Aircraft Specialities door prizes, live music, steak dinner, after hours music
May 30 - breakfast, short field takeoff & landing/flour bomb drop contest, lunch, awards, most start home after lunch
May 31 – some stay over

Mike and Patty are easily the greatest hosts on the planet... this is their home so plan to make it!

Early arrivals will have a great time Thursday evening and Friday. Then Saturday we’ve got a beautiful new route being worked up for the benefit poker-run/lunch (with spot landing on arrival) followed by a great steak dinner Saturday evening and other entertainment. I gave up the poke run coordination this year but am still cooking Saturday evening...

Weather wise… late may in Eastern Oklahoma is beautiful and warm with great camping!

Make the trip you won't be sorry!

Anyone going to this, sounds like a hoot. I'm about 80% sure I can go at this point, I just need to see if a few things line up. Plus, it's for a great cause!
