Somebody missing a tailwheel?

Postby Student BCP » Fri Jun 29, 2012 8:29 pm

My dad has been cutting wood the last couple days just east of Cascade maybe ten miles, and on his way up this morning he found a tailwheel laying by the road. Wasn't there yesterday, so it had to have come off yesterday afternoon or sometime before eight this morning. I'll try to get a pic up of it later, but my guess is somebody must have hit a pothole or rock or something on takeoff, cause it still has the spring and cables and part of the tubing attached. Just wondering if anybody on here was missing their tailwheel, I know where it is lol. Try to get a pic tomorrow sometime.

Perhaps it came from D.B. Cooper's escape plane. Any $20 lying around?

It belongs to Bobby Cox from South Carolina. I heard third hand that he lost it on his way out.. ..on a trailer..
