Skywagon Rear Bubble Windows

Have you modified your aircraft? STC? STOL Kit? Major rebuild from just a data plate?

Skywagon Rear Bubble Windows

Saw a 185 at Lake Hood a few years ago that had rear bubble windows in addition to the big door bubbles. Its time to replace my flat ones so I thought I might as well mod them too. Anyone know who has the STC or makes them? I searched and came up empty handed? ](*,)

Oh man........ there's been talk about them here some time ago. I'm betting that thread is buried deep. Did you try a search? I had a link saved on my old laptop. But that laptop got stolen.

Here you go. I believe this is the website that was mentioned some time ago in a long lost thread.

You can try to make some yourself. Polycast, the material the windows are made from, is relatively cheap. Blowing the window is not actually that technically challenging, plenty of reference on the web on how to. Then you just need to get an IA to see if he can get a Block 3 approval for a one-shot 337. I really wouldn't do the rear windows with too much dome as you may start to get some turbulence on the rudder.

THe other route is to go to the http://www.skywagons.org/ and buy the STC list. Look to see if any has ever been done, if it is no longer available you can gain approval as 'previously approved data.'
