Still looking good for us, weather permitting.

It'll be the 4 of us, myself, my lovely wife, and our daughter and son (11 and 4, respectively.) We'll camp out under the wing.

Looking forward to it!

Pretty sure I can make it but there may be a problem. I checked their web site and it says no pets. I usually take my dog on these kind of trips. I sent them an e-mail to see if this was enforced when all there are are a bunch of pilots.

Hey Tim
No problem with dogs, especially Tipsy. They just want the owners to be responsible and not have them running loose and getting hurt, into trouble, or bothering others.
If you want to go up, pull back on the controls. If you want to go down, pull back farther.

Do you have any idea how long it took to train that dog to do that. :D

is it set for May 4-5? Just did my first Moab local flight and realized I can drive to caveman. Count me in for Sat night dinner - 2 total, probably will not stay out as its only 30min car *gasp* drive from my house.

Convinced the wife to complete the Disneyland/Kids trip BEFORE caveman rather than during! It's looking good for the WilgaBeast to attend.

Anyone know if there are any rock holes left? (rooms)

I wrote this somewhere else but here goes again.... When Jean and I were in Moab last year we tried to drive to caveman and got to the dirt road on the west side of the river which runs parallel to the railroad spur line that services the potash settling ponds.... we kept going till we got to a rather large flat area where several roads come together to service the settling ponds.. they're for potash incidentally...one off to the left had a private road do not enter sign which in retrospect we think was cavemans... we didn't go down that road but kept going down stream on the west side of the river for about 6 miles or so... We did this in a Audi Q5 with all wheel drive but any 2 wheel drive can do it as the road is good... don't know about the caveman road but I bet it's fairly good too...but I'll bet it takes longer than a half hour if I remember right....give yourself an hour and a half for the trip...we spent all day on our drive down there.. :D

I would think the fun would be in stayin, campfire and BS'n , and not drivin the road back and forth, but that's just me.

Put me down for a room.

For meals put me down +1.

I'll fill out and send the waiver next week.

I volunteer for aerial provision runs as needed as well.

Ahh yes, but local knowledge ok 45min - its 20-25 min to the potash river put in and from the air looked close to there. We might stay out there, just depends on work, havent looked to see how many trips I have leaving that weekend... I manage an outfitting business (weeklong mountain bike tours) .. I do need to call Caveman and see if it's ok to drive out.

Possibly, I can bring a keg of home brew.

what???? you'll bring beer????? as for BCP you can go anywhere you want as long as you bring beer...I might have to look over my gathered camping gear by the time This comes around... since so many are bringing stuff I usually pack in the back... a cooler full of beer is rather weighty but if a keg of beer is driven in I might just leave the cooler at home... can't immagine a 4 day trip without a cooler and maybe even a tent.. Hell I might just leave my change of underwear at home...I mean after all when you turn them inside out you can get two days out of a pair of fruit of the looms...
