We are in Nevada planning on heading to Utah tomorrow weather permitting. We were planning on flying direct to nokai but based upon the comment re afternoon winds may stay the night in Moab and then fly to Nokai Tues.

Well I'm not going to make Caveman. I've been hoping to avoid having to be in Boise on Saturday but there is no getting out of it. Our daughter is graduating from Boise State on the 12th; Rose and I also have to be there on the 5th for her senior music recital. So I'm screwed.

Have fun everyone. Rose and I look forward to seeing most of you at Johnson Creek in June.

Sorry you can't make it. Hopefilly see ya at Austin

Sorry to hear Mike. Family is first...and at least you will be in Boise. It's beautiful this time of year.

Take Oso Loco off the list as well, shucks this is two years in a row, and Caveman is so dang close to KBTF.

My daughter is graduating from the U of U Friday night. And, we have other nieces and nephews graduating around now, so there is a big family blow out mid day on Saturday.

Very slight chance I could sneak down Saturday night for at least one night on the ground, but frankly, I would not bet on it.

I, also, hope to see all of you at JC in June.

I never thought so much school stuff then. My oldest is graduating from Eastern Oregon University in June. Teaching degree. She ask when I planned to go to Johnson Creek so her party didn't interfere.

I trained my little girl good :D

You can't believe the wx men, lie lie lie. Got to go poke you nose into it.

My instructor said if you won't fly with clouds you will never fly. But we are from NW Oregon after all.

As for wind just hope it is not a head wind both ways.

My advice is leave the day before you planned in the late after noon when the bases are at there highest. Then stay at your place in Palm Springs. Should be a walk in the park from there.

It;s a tail wind most of the way Rob if not all the way... winds out of the SSW 25 MPH... that puts it down the runways at Valle and Cal Black... don't know what it will be like at Caveman in the canyon.. I may go over the MTs. on wed eve and get to Valle or at least Havasu and sleep under the wing if I have to... THAts if I can get over the Mts. with the coastal fog..If it's like today it's a no go but I'm hoping it gets a little better by Thurs... it never cleared today and Cuyamaca Peak and the laguna Mts are in the clouds which is a definite no go...I'm packed though...Just gotta fill the cooler with Ice and zoom.... OK Oregon guys this is my plan. Y'all welcome to show up at Cedar Mt if you are so inclined. I am meeting M7flyer who is coming in from LA.

Terry wrote:Morning,
Wondering when you are headed out and if you want company?
Dave and I will be in my plane, little John is in also.
Not sure about departure time yet, trying to make caveman wed.

Dave and Dee want to do Cedar Mt so thats where I am going. Y'all welcome for sure! I'll try to get going as early as wx will let me. Tentative plan wheels up 0745 It is 6:10 minutes seat time in my M7 got a $5.00 gas stop identified. Cedar Mt is a sweet place. 7500MSL with sweeping panoramic views of sunset and sun rise. I'll bring some fire wood. Here is the route. I will pass on Madras repair I think at this point. If the wx is good enough and I can get to Madras by 8 then I may doink with it for an hour.
