These shirts are not endorsed by me. I appreciate someone stepping up to fill the gap for this year, as I decided to not make shirts. However I'd like to retain control of what apparel that bears the name of the website looks like. Make as many shirts as you like, but I'd appreciate it if the website address/name was removed from the design.

The whole Mile High thing is a sensitive issue right now, regardless how I feel about it, and I'd rather not have the name "backcountrypilot.org" attached to a shirt depicting any sensationalization of the matter. I personally have to answer to people who contact us about stuff, and am saddled with any negative PR down the road when I try to use the website name for good (like soliciting raffle donations.) It's the same as if I printed my own t-shirts with the Amark logo that caused some unpredictable controversial response from people in the timber products industry, then wore the shirt around to plywood mills.

Like I said, the shirts look nice. Just remove the "backcountrypilot.org"

Thanks.

Big Z, :D
I was disappointed to hear we didn't have shirts to go with our biggest fly-in of the year. I think if you would have ask for some help we could have pulled it off.
You started a good thing.....a minority group of pilots that enjoy flying the backcountry.
While I understand your concern about advertisement of your website that you have no control over, I don't think BCP should be ashamed of a picture of planes on a backcountry strip.
I very much appreciate Rob taking the time to make some shirts to go with our 2012 JC fly-in, I think they look great and I hope that they are not offensive to you or anyone else.
I thought I read that you had some leftover shirts from last year that you would like to sell, I would fly them to JC to help sell them. They can be purchased from my camp or we could put them under the donated SC tents on the honor system.
I will also make sure you get all the funds.......for one free shirt. :D

It does look like BCP is endorsing a sub group fly in to one of the forbiden four. [-X And all this time I thought Rob was second in command.

I'm with Z man on this one. Sorry :D Rob's a good friend with Zane and me and I know Rob didn't mean no harm. I'm thinking Rob honestly overlooked the thought of asking to use the logo BCP.org without permission. I understand Zanes concerns and I think Zane explained it very well. Our company freaks out big time when somebody uses our logo or logo's without permission and freaks out even more if they use the wrong font, type, or color logo's for any reason. So I think Zane is being pretty nice about this one. Except, maybe a PM to Rob might have been the better route though.

Do I still get my shirt Rob?? :D :D

I get it, you probably had the shirts printed already by the time I let my feelings known. If you do a 2nd run, please remove the url from the design. Don't vandalize your shirts with a sharpie. :)

In the future, should anyone want to take the initiative to have fly-in shirts printed, contact me, get the real artwork/logo, show me the design, and we're good. I don't want a cut of the profit or anything like that, just a professional and responsible image.

Don't leave Rob with any unsold shirts. He was doing a good thing and has been very supportive of BCP over the years... But no good deed goes unpunished. :)

Thanks.

Keep the shirt Matt......auction it off as a limited edition, never to be printed again shirt, produced by a patent stealing renegade Mall driver. :)

2nd run will say BacCountryPilot they were printed before I could change. They are pretty much sold. No worries here. I figure to donate profits to RAF. 30 or 40 or 50 won't be much. Profit is $4.00 each

Z if you lay off the medical marijuana you won't be so paranoid. 30-50 tees won't change the world. You have my permission to do anything you want with my Amark Inc. logo.

Matt you are removed and no hard feelings here.

G'Day
