We just completed our Summit ski installation for the S7. They weigh in at about 23 lbs each with the UMHW bottom and the rigging. The initial installation takes about 3-4 hours and once the initial installation is done, both skis can be installed or removed in about 3 minutes. They are made of cabon fiber with epoxy resins (no cheap stuff). All of the parts are included even the axle, you don't have to build anything. They are currently priced at $3499.00

I like the forward cable/spring attach points, on the lower longeron..... it all looks real simple and low drag, and the price is right. Any skegs or are they totally smooth on the bottom? I like the color matching the aircraft too, nice touch!

Thanks for the compliment. No skeg on the bottom, not sure if I need it since the tire sticks down. We thought it might be too much yellow by painting the skis to match but I think it looks good.
I can see how your skis might slow you down when in the "wheel down" position, it appears that the ski tip is riding high. But in the "ski" position I would think they would be fairly streamline.
Now that we have the skis on the S7, all of the snow is melting. I went up into mountains last weekend with the Kitfox and landed in a few snow covered areas but the snow was hard and crunchy.
I'll be meeting with the "Tribal Elders" to arrange a snow dance!
