A bit less talking, and a lot more flying I think were in order. Yikes!

Admit you're afraid of the dark. Soak the warmth from scabrock, cheek to lichen. The wind isn't talking to you. Listen anyway. Let the cries of coyotes light a fire in your heart. Remember the terrible song of stars—you knew it once, before you were born.

Contrast this audio with the above.....

And no, it ain't a male/female thing. It's a fly first/talk second thing. That controller isn't going to beam up and take control of your airplane for you.

Great demonstration on "How do I hydroplaning the belly" instead of talking us through the ordeal or providing in cockpit video.

Ya know.... The retract guys could do some waterskiing too...

Gear up, kill the engine and bump the prop horizontal with the starter, come in with lots of speed and skim the surface, bounce up and re-start.

Might be fun to watch. Wonder if I could bribe someone to do it with a few beers.

Worth repeating, now that Christmas in only four months away...

Gump

PS: And if you're ever really scared in an airplane and know you're gonna die. Don't scream on the radio!

Old Viet Nam story. Group of Navy F4's goes on a hunting mission over North Viet Nam. Guys are winging north, radios quiet. Suddenly this high pitched shriek comes over the air, screaming...

"I got a Mig on my six! I got a Mig on my six! Help me! Help me! Help me!"

This deep, gravely, slow voice come up on the frequency,

"Why don't you shut the f**k up, and die like a Naval aviator."
