GT-50 Clock, G-meter

Anybody try one of these out? 2 1/4" instrument, Clock, Timer, Flight Timer, OAT, G-meter, Voltmeter. Aircraft Spruce has them for $160. Says not for certified airplanes, but looks better than the junk that's in there now.

excellent device. Voltage is most useful... for system diagnostics. Looks certified...to most everyone.

Simpler is better. FWIW the Garmin 196 has a clock, plus trip timer & voltage datafield options. The voltage readout seems to work OK (hardwired to airplane electrical system). I also have a cheap battery-powered clock/timer velcro'd on the panel (plus my wristwatch). G meter & OAT are not really an issue for my flying.

Good point. Actually most of the Garmin portables will read out voltage if you can find the page and sub menu to display it. Easier on some models than others. Also, don't think I have looked at the G meter more than a few times or the timers either. I avoid the velcro on stuff.... messy

Starts with G-meter, little push to low-g, then pull to higher, next is Clock (12:00pm), elapsed timer (7:26), Voltmeter (13.8v), "Master On" Timer (I-0:55), OAT (+10C) and back to G-meter. I like it!

The meter that I use is a Davtron M655 five function 2-1/4"

Primary reason I like it for backcountry flying is the built in DENSITY altitude mode
