Probably a good thing we have airplanes. Yikes!

Admit you're afraid of the dark. Soak the warmth from scabrock, cheek to lichen. The wind isn't talking to you. Listen anyway. Let the cries of coyotes light a fire in your heart. Remember the terrible song of stars—you knew it once, before you were born.

Wow! Have done that drive 28 times now in the past 14 years. That section of highway has a whole lot of wash out areas. Often wonder what it would look like when its like it is now. Crazy!
If it looks smooth, it might be. If it looks rough, it is...www.bigtirepilot.com ...www.alaskaheliski.com

A natural stimulus package! It's about jobs man. What we need is another natural disaster to get everybody back to work.

Just kidding.

It's supposed to re=opened today...at the worst of things last Friday, the Alaska Highway was closed between Haines Junctionand Burwash Landing and at two spots between Watson Lake and Rancheria, the south klondike Highway between Carcross and Skagway, the Campbell highway between Watson Lake and Ross River...you should have seen the tourist back jam everywhere! Air North had to fly the Holland America/Princess tour clients from Whitehorse to Beaver Creek so that they could resume their bus tour and get back on the cruise in ANC on time. Anyways, they had the Herc flying non stop this week, flying in groceries...luckily, no shortage of 100 LL so I took the Tundra into Drybay in the Glacier Bay National Park Preserve.... Meanwhile, I hear milk has gone up over $10 per liter! I'll post photos on "where did you fly today" . BCT
