We may change these at any time and efforts will be made to inform you, though it would be prudent to review this regularly yourself as your continued usage of “Backcountry Pilot” after changes mean you agree to be legally bound by these terms as they are updated and/or amended.
Flying is an inherently risky activity. Any advice, recommendations, instructional material, files, or images contained within this website is provided at the reader's discretion and should not be considered a substitute for instruction from a certified flight instructor or certified airframe and powerplant mechanic. The owners and operators of Backcountry Pilot are not liable for damage to your equipment or health, or death resulting from material found in this forum. Always be cautious, safe, and vigilant.
All posts made to these forums express the views and opinions of the post author and not the administrators, moderators or owner (except for posts by these people) of Backcountry Pilot and hence will not be held liable.
You agree not to post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-oriented or any other material that may violate any laws be it of your country, the country where “Backcountry Pilot” is hosted or International Law. Doing so may lead to you being immediately and permanently banned, with notification of your Internet Service Provider if deemed required by us. The IP address of all posts are recorded to aid in enforcing these conditions. You agree that “Backcountry Pilot” have the right to remove, edit, move or close any topic at any time should we see fit. As a user you agree to any information you have entered to being stored in a database. While this information will not be disclosed to any third party without your consent, neither “Backcountry Pilot” nor phpBB shall be held responsible for any hacking attempt that may lead to the data being compromised.
Content Moderation Policy
First and foremost, Backcountry Pilot is an aviation website. All topics submitted, and especially those outside the scope of aviation, are subject to evaluation, moderation, or removal at the discretion of moderators.
Administrators and moderators reserve the right to move, edit, or delete user-contributed forum posts and images.
Politically oriented topics are discouraged, but will be allowed in the opt-in forum "Hot Air." Any topics that are objectively determined to be politically inflammatory, will be moved to the "Hot Air" forum at the discretion of moderators, regardless of which forum the topic was originally submitted to. See the "How-To and Tutorials" forum for more information on how to gain access to "Hot Air."
Forum and Chat Conduct Policy
While it is often difficult to maintain cordiality and decorum while interacting with other users, we ask that you make your best effort. Personal attacks, name calling, or otherwise flagrant harassment of another user, provoked or not, will result in warning and/or banishment from usage of Backcountry Pilot systems.
