Wellll, finally got the deal done on the 182. Went to Caldwell, ID. Gonna be a jump plane.
So, I am ready to move on. I would like to stay under $40K, but I can rent out a room if I need to.
I been goin though a lot of mental gymnastics trying figure what would be the best for my next plane.
I would like a plane that weighs 800lbs, flies from 20-200mph, experimental, burns 4gph, for $25K. Might be askin too much
My considerations are: Durability and STOL performance are key. Seating, no deal breakers there. Room for baggage would be nice. Fuel economy.
These are the planes that I am considering
PA18-180 is naturally at the top of the list, but, no doubt, out of my price range. PA14 would also be great.
E-LSA(or atleast experimental) and light as possable has many advantages.
...Rans s7 longtail, Highlander, Kitfox 5-7
....Wagaero Sportsman 2+2, Bearhawk, Bushmaster
C-170B/180hp/CSP Really love these planes. A little away from my mission, and also probly out of my price range. But whatever I do will be some sort of compromise. Haven't been interested in doing the conversion. Have found some real nice ones w/O-300, but I think it would be cheaper to find one already done. And, probly still out of my price range.
Early model C-150 Taildragger w/180hp.
Big engine Stinson ????
180hp Citabria w/flaps
And, I am open to other possabilities. Don't know much other than the 100 series Cessnas.
Appreciate any leads, prefer to them PM'd to me.
